Where to get some quality 6000k bulbs

Any aftermarket HID bulb in a 2GS reflector halogen headlight setup will create a cutoff point that will scatter like crazy and you well be gettin flashed by oncoming traffic b/cuz they will think you are rollin w/ your high beams on.
Most here on CL recommend a retro fit or a swap w/ OEM projectors to yield the color temp you wanna run with the stock cutoff point.
Or you can just roll with me and blind people with 6K in the lows (halogen setup) and 3K in OEM yellow fogs.
Go with MobilHID or XenonDepot

I'm also considering possibly grabbing a set of eyelids and playing with their positioning to see if they can kinda create somewhat of a cutoff from the halogen lamps

Can someone tell my why my two headlights dont look the same color? I just replaced both bulbs with 4300K HID, and one side looks slightly more bluish then the other side? Could it be the fogged up lenses? Should 4300K looks bluish at all?

if not check your connections, make sure your ballasts are good, and see if your lenses really are yellowed out. 4300k should have the slightest tinge of pink/purple or blue around the edge, whereas 6000k will have more.

I work at Super Autobacs in Stanton Cali. i have the Piaa d2r bulbs in stock rated at 6600k. Let me know if you haven't bought some yet. I can give you a deal on them too. Let me know.

I have a XenonDepot 6000k HID kit in my MDX. The XD kit has been in use for over 2 years. Still going strong. Steve was very helpful.
I also just bought some 6000k bulbs from mobilehid for my car. It is too soon for any long term feedback but they work as advertised. Cliff is a cool guy.
I would not hesitate to recommend both.

i'll chime in on reliability as well. My xenonking 6000k pnp kit has about 7 straight months of use in New England's unpredictable weather (from single digit temps these last couple days, to snow, to heavy rains, all the way up to triple digit heat) and have yet to have even so much as a flicker. Plus, their customer service is awesome, and they will give you a discount as well if you shoot them an email. would highly recommend.

oh, hm i see. well in that case don't buy those. lol. Those are probably intended for different ballasts. If you know for sure you have 35w ballasts, source a different bulb.

however with a little tricky aiming you can reduce that. With the car about 10 feet from a garage door or other flat vertical surface, aim your lights dead level. Then, raise your right (passenger) side up a half turn on the vertical aiming screw, and lower your left side by a full turn. You'll retain good output on the road and cut glare to other drivers.

Post up pics when you get the eyelids on.
