There are many postings on how to replace door actuators but what do you do if the door is locked and you can't get the door open to fix the lock? It is a 2001 GS300 and the child lock is not on (although it can't be checked right now and I have tried to open from the outside). The door lock is stuck in the lock position and if I force it to the unlock position, I still can't open the door from the inside or out (window still opens). When I force it to the unlock position, it does return to the lock position.
Obviously I have to open the door to have a chance to fix it. Does anyone know how to slim jim this door? It might be my only option.

have you tried disconnecting the battery? It'll be tough to slimjim because a lot of newer cars have channels built in to defend against it. I would just hold the lock in the unlock position and at the same time pull the handle from the inside and have someone else pull from the outside. If not that, then i would say wedge the door and from the inside try to trip the latch with a slimjim type device, or at least slip it enough to get the door open. I would use the latter as a last resort only as in the event you do get the door open but can't fix the lock, she won't close again lol
