300 to 4?? engine swap
so ive been thinking. what would it take to swap an engine from a 400/430 into a 2gs 300? does anyone know of anyone that has attempted this or at least even thought about it?

I'm sure it could be done but if you were going to the trouble of a swap I'd think it'd make more sense to do a GTE which is probably why we haven't heard more about a V8 swap.

keep in mind the price of a crate lsx swap has come down a ton, those are by far the easiest motors to swap into cars.
i think the gte swap would be easier since it is well documented
and i 2nd the if your car runs fine and you want a v8 trading in due to easiness of a trade vs pia of trouble shooting a swap

I would probably just save as much as i could, then sell the 300 and buy a 400. Who knows what could go wrong with that engine swap?

Do a LS6 swap...
They have 2JZGTE mount kits for it
... And then rear exhaust turbo it..
Be the fastest GS too

Wasn't your vehicle the one with piston ring problems?
It would be easiest to just do a 2jz-gte swap.

Agreed...None of the dealership that I've known of can do or wants to do a 300 to a 400 swap. Easier to sell the 300 and get yourself the one you really want...that my $0.02.
