Default New Member, first Lexus--98GS3, looking for Leather...

Hello, new the forum, but not new to forums. I just bought a 98 GS300 with 113,000 miles on it as a daily driver. I could not be happier with the car, but I do want to purchase new front leather.

Can anyone point me toward any previous group buys or well known leather providers that have good references/experiences here on the forum? As usual, my back seat is perfect, and my front passenger seat is in pretty good shape too. I do need a front driver seat leather re-skin and center console re-skin. I've been watching these on eBay, but he seems to be jumping around in price from $300-$400 depending on the auction. Does anyone have THIS leather?

I looked into Katskin, but they don't have patterns for the GS. Any other ideas? I really just want to match the factory leather to redo the front seats, but if I can find a good deal I will redo the whole interior.

I LOVE this car. I already know the next one will be a GS400/430.

Thanks everyone. I saw the black leather set for sale. I'd be all over it if I had a black leather interior.

Has anyone used the stuff from the eBay guy?

I'm weary of most Ebayer seller's these days, everyone claims their stuff is better when most of it is all crap . Leatherseats.com is most likely the best reseller for recovering seats.

Anyway...If you do decide to go that route you might want to get sample swatch to make sure the color is on par with the factory leather or recover the entire car because over time with wear, tear, and sunlight the seats are not going to be as "fresh".

You'll have brand spanking new shiny leather up front and dull faded leather in the rear.

When I redid my SC interior I bought from "leatherseats" on ebay. Installed them myself and they came out great and got perforation at no extra charge. They matched the interior perfectly and they felt awesome.
