man i went down the street to buy some smokes today and on the way back home and i heard a big *BANG*sound and my car skid off road...so i got out to see this..my ball joint snap ...freaking a on the last pic you can see the ball joint just sitting on the rims..mess the rim all uphere some more pic before i tow it to the dealer
i'll say this FIRST least u ok SECOND looks like u got lucky and it just messed up a rim, looks like bumper, fender, etc escaped unscathed!
Yeah, I ordered all ball joints, tie rods, etc. the other day from Sewell. I'm gonna get them done as soon as they come in and I'm almost at 80,000 miles on my '02 but will be lowering it the same time so I want everything to be perfect but at least you're okay and you only damaged a wheel which can be repaired easily if that's what you choose to do.
my car is at 154K and my instructor inspected them a month ago and said they were fine...thats why i was wondering if lowering it really does that much damage...
i dont think lowering effects anything..i have seen pics on this forum with normal rides on the ground..its a problem with GS from 1998-2000.. mostly when i got the joints changed the guy told me they were almost out-
