9006 is a halogen bulb not a HID bulb! I need to know the size of our factory HID bulbs!

Dude. 9006 reffers to a "halogyn-type" bulb. They are shorter and rounder than the longer and skinnier xenon bulbs. I'm begining to suspect that all "true" HID bulbs are either D2R or D2S.

D2Rs are D2Rs are D2Rs.

Its either D2R or D2S, and OEM bulbs are D2Rs. Get the D2Rs

Pretty sure there are the only choices for HID bulbs.

How many sizes is the shop telling you is available for HIDs? I've only seen D2R or D2S

there are only 2 types d2r and d2s...
my only question is will the d2s fit in our lexus? I would like to try them...I don't give a f--- if I blind people...I already do that with my truck so if they fit in our current bulb adapter I think we can put more light on the road.

But if there is something else like the connector is slightly off then d2r is our only choice.

hey let us know if you can find a deal on 6000k bulbs..anything more is too riced and fake looking.

Actually Dex, D2R are "reflector" type w/ the black strip used to aim the light. The D2S are for "projector" lenses no strip/shield. So if you run them in a reflector type setup (like the GS) chances are you'll be putting out more light. I've been on the horn with 2 vendors for quite sometime today, you know me, research a potential new item with a vengence! But I'm pretty sure of what I need to do at this point. Thanks for all the feedback!

The D2S needs to be modded to install in our lexus'sss. There is a tab that you can notch off. Fairly simple im told. Only difference between the D2S and D2R (besides notching the tab off) is the stripe down the side which blocks the light from escaping directly out our head light assemblies instead of first reflecting off multiple surfaces.

There is no purpose in buying D2R bulbs for kits, they will only reduce light output. Buy D2S. You can however convert D2R to D2S if you already made that mistake. For kits you'll still need to know that your bulb size is 9006 (aka. HB4). The reason why A1s lighting is so scattered is because firstly, no HID optics, and second he hasn't levelled them out, just instaled them. Therefore there is a highly likeliness that he is blinding everyone around him (this doesn't mean you have the brightest lights on the road, it just means yours are the only ones aimed at people's eyes).
