The method mentioned is supposedly "safer"-to not have the donor vehicle running. Some say to just leave the donor connected for a few minutes to trickle before hitting the starter on the dead car.

But it doesn't always put out enough juice.

got the problem fixed today was such an easy thing to do

i missed the big yellow sign saying that i should leave the key in the ignition for 6 minutes and then turn to off,and then turn the car back on

thanks alot to everyone for the help

erm ok,next to the battery on my gs300 is the fuse box,on the lid of the fuse box i have a big yellow sticky sign that says if the battery is ever disconnected,the anti theft device for engine kicks in and to turn it off you need to leave the key in the ignition,once i get back from my holidays i'll show you all
