What's the discount? I might want to pick up a couple of LS400 calipers or may just buy it locally.

I was quoted 200 bux for two new calipers locally. I am gonna call back and ask what he meant by "new" ...(might be remanu).

i think this one is good til february, 13213271016885

you can also usually google "rockauto.com coupon codes" and find sites that have updated codes.

yep, it's remanufactured. I'd like to buy it from rockauto but I'm afraid it's not the aluminum version... If I didn't car too much about weight, I'd probably just go supraTT. Anyways, still got plenty of time to search.

Of course, I'm not buying used...no way I wanna clean that up. LOL. rather go remanufactured from pebboys. My main concern is if the remanufacturer uses the same material.

I'd just post up the coupon...if it's one time..someone uses it and it'll be done. If it's multi-use, then that's great too.

Anyone know if the LS400 caliper is lighter than the GS430? I've looked at both and it seems that the rotors is the same size ( I don't know if it's because it's the UL version). The caliper look huge though - but appearance shouldn't matter if the brake pad surface area is about the same as the 2nd gen GS.

Anyone know if it's all just a placebo effect?

The ls400 calipers are significantly lighter that the 2nd gen GS calipers. The ls400 calipers are aluminum.
