Default What would you be willing to pay?

IF and this is a big IF I were selling my car. What would you be willing to pay?

The car ia a 2000 GS 300 with 113K

This is a quick list of the major modifications

2JZ-GTE VVTI $5,500.00
Universal Air $2,000.00
KYB Struts $ 400.00
MRR Wheels $1,200.00
Paint BASF Candy $4,000.00
Vertex Body Kit $1,800.00
NX Nitrous kit $ 450.00
Intercooler and
Custom Piping $1,100.00
RMM Grill $ 275.00
Seibon Hood $ 400.00
AEM Meth kit $ 450.00
Apexi Exhaust $ 600.00
Precision Converter$ 400.00
Supra LSD $ 400.00
Total $18,975.00

There is no labor included in this total, and I would estimate $3000 to $3500 in misc parts not included in total.

The car went ~12.1 on this setup on pump gass with Nitrous and Meth. It would be compression checked and have new Greddy timing belt when sold.

So what do you think.

Thanks,
Ben

i suggest you part out if you want better return.. like as in sell me your lsd!!! but dayam!! That is NICE!!! I like your setup friend.. I am guessing that you can ask for mid 20's? It is tough nowadays to sell a modded car let alone a used car... I wish you luck though!

I would say low to mid $20's as well. It is a VERY nice build! GL

Its all up to what a person is willing to pay. Not everyone will like what you did to your car and some might. Parting out a built up car makes more sense to me money wise. I think you can get a better return than trying to sell something so modded to your own taste.

It is hard to part out something you have put so much time in to. This is not for sure with the economy the way it is, it would be a stupid time to sell. I just wanted some idea of what others thought. I was just getting an itch to start a new project.

parting, as mentioned will get you more money.

enthusiasts like us on here, you could expect anywhere from 17-20k

but, general public and industry standards don't care about mods, so you might not even see that much. I'd never trade that car, because I'm pretty sure theyd give you a little less than 10 for it.

$20K aint gonna happen in theses times right now. That would have to be a cash deal, cause that's way over bank or finiance companies lending amount even if you found someone who could finiance it.

The most return would be parting out and returning the car to as near stock as possible, then selling it to a bigger audience.

BTW if you do list it for sale, I would not use those back alley pics with the Trash dumpsters in the background. Good luck.

for what you will get for it without parting it out I say just keep it. All the time and effort you put into it you will not come close to getting that back. plus this is something that you have built and unless you have a bigger/better project to move on to I would just hold on and enjoy this one

If you tried to sell the car whole, I would imagine somewhere in the 20-22K range. The thing about modding the car is the process is a personal direction and rarely yields returns to the level of the mods, unless you keep things as close to OEM as possible. Dave's GS was a good example of modding with OEM looks. Just my 2 cents.

Figure the price of a stock 2000 GS300 KBB plus 1/2 of the cost of parts you put on......no re cooping the labor. Probably not what you want to hear but that has been my experience on selling modified vehicles that I have put together.

Default Don't take anything under 20k. They are buyers out there that are

willing to pay the money. 2jzvvti in a 2gen gs300 is still not a common thing these days. Hold out until the right buyer comes along, people dream about having 2jzvvti in their gs.

Later, Jose

If you put the car back to stock and kepp swap in car you could easily get 15k so all the other extra stuff would net you maybe 5k give or take. You wouldnt have a problem selling the car, only thing alot of people dont like the two tone show paint cause it draws attention.
