Default Ash Tray replacement box?

I found this site: http://www.jzsinternational.com/serv...ISTO-GS/Detail

I would love to have this non-smokers box, but they want $43 plus $20 s/h. Does anyone know where this can be purchased less expensive? I've not seen them anywhere else.

you can try to contact some of the vendors here, like carson toyota and see if they can source it for you but not sure how much less it will be.

What is the difference? The ashtray in that link looks exactly like what I have in my car. Maybe I have the non-smoker setup already, so what does the smoker setup look like?

I think the non-smokers box is just lined with a felt material of some sort . The standard smokers box is just your normal plastic formed.

This is the box. No ash tray or lighter. Just open for storage:

Looks just like the normal one with felt and the top metal bar removed, exactly like Ceelo said. If you actually look at the installed pic it still has the little tabs to hold a cigarette on the bottom just like the stock one. Also the Lighter will still be there with or without this part.

Felt is nice but I don't need to spoil my loose change like that. But to each his own.

$63 for a felt lined box? You can buy a small sheet of felt or velvet for like $2 and DIY.

I like the smoking box. The black metal has more utility than the felt. Can smoke if you want. I use it to store change.

OOOHHHH!!! I see now!!! Good Grief! How stupid can one person get????

I thought that you removed the entire ash tray and lighter unit and replaced it with this one. I didn't realize that it was just the small "ashes" box.

By the way, how does this thing come out? The whole thing, not just the ashes box.

The entire unit comes out by pulling and wiggling (is that a technical term ) it. Just grip at the bottom where it meets the center console and just wiggle it around and it will eventually come out.

E brake, put in lowest gear, stick your fingers in the astray (both hands) thumbs underneath and give a firm pull, but control your pull so you dont slam your hands in to your face! LoL.
