Rough idle after timing belt service
So i'm very new to this site. Just bought a 02 GS300 w/ 100k miles on her and decided to do the timing belt service.. Got all original part/oem parts. Put it all back together and now she runs rough at idle. Over 1500rpm she's fine. Check engine light is on at idle but goes off at 1500rpm then starts to blink. Code is p16C56 (ocv sensor??) possibly low oil pressure? Car was running perfect when I bought it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

did you double check the timing marks? check it again, put cylinder 1 on top dead center then check the cam gears and crankshaft pulleys are at its timing marks. happen to me once at the shop found out one cam gear jump one tooth.

The fustrating part is that the car ran PERFECT prior to this.. Now i have to wait till god knows when... arrrrrh!!!

There is no reason for that cam gear to crap out unless the mechanic working on the car messed it up. If the shop isn't experienced with working with a VVTi setup then they might of removed the wrong bolts. On the VVTi pulley there are 5 small bolts holding the assembly together and 1 big one holding the pulley to the camshaft. If those 5 bolts are removed, it will knock the internal assembly on the pulley out of alignment. In the Toyota service manual it says if those 5 bolts are removed the fix is to replace the pulley.
I would check the VVTi solenoid filter and the connector first before anything else. The filter is only like a $10 part. The pulley on the other hand is about $150!

The crank sprocket (behind the crank pulley) has a missing tooth. I quickly located a used one and it is in route to me right now. Hopefully this fixes the problem, if not then I know for sure I will need the left VVt-i cam gear.. Well see today..
Again.. thanks for all inputs..
