HELP!! Radiator fan stays on all the time

Just recently my radiator fan has been staying on all the time. From the time I start the car to when I shut it off the engine the fan finally shuts off. Sometimes the fan will shut off on it's own but temporarily. Does this mean a sensor is bad? Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
