I have a 98 gs400 and i have a vibration that starts at 35mph and stops at 45mph. I have kuhmo tires that have around 7000 miles on them and just had them road force balanced. I have changed rotors and breaks in front and it hasnt helped. I have 171000 miles on car and im thinking of changing out bushings with daizen. Thought about tightening steering tension. Seems a little loose because when tires hit a rut in road it will pull wheels to that direction. Supposidly the ball joints were changed at 140000 miles , but when I hit a bump it sounds like there is some play int steering rack, but not bad.

I've bent like 5 GS 17" rims in three years. Lexus has been using a very crappy alloy on 2nd and 3rd gen GS rims, very easy to bend. The first gen GS had bulletproof rims, I dont know what type of alloy they used, but they were nearly undestructable. When I had my first gen GS, I had a tire blow out and shread to pieces at 85mph on a highway, and the rim didnt get damaged at all. On my current 2nd gen GS, I finally decided to put in a set of 16's with oversized sidewall tires to avoid bending anymore rims in the future. I'm defenately not getting a good traction now, especially in rain, but the car rides much more comfortably, tracks easier, and there are no vibrations whatsoever.

My guess is your GS is lowered and you do not have a camber kit, and the insides of your tires are worn more with the rest of the tire. If this is the case the two front tires will be the worse. One way to help slow this down is to rotate tires every 3k miles. Anything more than 20mm drop may cause this ware.
