check out an old thread of mine. i'm 18x9 -30 and 9.5 -28
i dont rub at all and i'm flush.

Those offsets are positive, not negative. Use a plus sign +.

Such aggressive offsets only work with stretched tires and aggressively lowered cars with negative camber. You can't run the normal size spec tire made for normal offsets like 18x9 with a 40et lets say

but phillygs is on low profiles 225/35.
i am not going low profiles. i am going with the fat setup.
is that a reason why most say it will rub?

No SH.. It's not like that inside the link. I was using a 'hyphen' for separation. Obviously I'm not running negative 30 and 28 offsets. No VIP here.

Have these cars change somehow? I had 20x10 +38 in the rear and it rubbed. Not much but it did so that I had to shave the fenders. I saw slight shavings on the black fender trim and we tested the suspension when it was compressed. I had an alignment done too.

Is your alignment off a bit? Also, do you realize you are running two different diameter wheels with those tire specs? The front is about OEM spec (which probably helps with the rubbing, or lack thereof) while the rear is about 1" taller.

I think he would rub too. I have a 20x10 rear and 30offset and stock that thing wasnt even close to clearing. Even after shaving the fenders and getting them pulled I get some rub in the rear. And you runing a fat setup. Eather way I think the margin is close enough that If you bought them and they did rub you would be pissed especially with a bunch of people telling you it wouldnt rub. In my opinion keep looking.
