I don't really need the hp but would be great. Also planning to keep the car as long as i could. Just asking what to get because I am planning on jumping on any low mileage 2GS that is white and if the motors on the 4s could last that long then i have nothing to worry about when i come across to finding one.

Now I have a 99 gs400, and its amazinggggggggggggg. It's hard for me not to go fast. I love it. SOOOOO much more then the 300.
If you end up getting a white 2gs4, then we can be like brothers haha.

Its like this, I have a GS300 and have never really been pleased with the performance. Handling with mods yes, performance no. To get the horsepower gains I wanted I needed to buy a used supercharger kit ($2,000), have it installed and tuned ($2,500) slightly upgrade the exhaust ($1,000) so with that said, I'm still only sitting around 300HP (dyno coming the first week of May).
IF....mind you IF I would have bought a GS400 or 430 my driving pleasure would have been different. I don't regret buying my 300 brand new back in 1999 but I wish I would have bought the 400. I always imagine what it would have been like to have a spartan looking and riding twin turbo V8 (after modding to the TT).

GS 430 or nothing
Hold out for a 430....Mine came with factory Nav and a wood steering wheel. Much faster car with about the same gas economy. Plus if you plan on putting alot of miles on the car, the V8 is a stronger engine the service center at my dealership claims.

Yeah man. The GS300 was my first car and I jumped on the first car I drove ( I love the color). I regret not waiting for the GS430, as I really feel the need for power, although I am going to have to turbo it one day.. If I had the V8, my needs would have been satisfied.. Go with a 430 man.. Prices are low these days. When I was in the market 98 400's where going for 13-14k, and 03 430s around 23k..
