sorry to bring a old thread back from the dead but I did not want to start a new one since theres one out about it.

I currently have these wheels on my GS as well and was wondering does anyone know where to purchase a extra set/pair? just wanted a extra wheel for my trunk since i have a oem stockie in there. I know these are pretty rare now a days but hoping someone knows someone.

yea, i actually got lucky a few months back and found these on ebay for 400$'s shipped! i guess the owner did not know how rare these wheels were and sold them for dirt cheap. the bad thing for me now is i live in nyc where potholes are prone to destroy wheels so I was just aiming at a extra wheel or 2 incase my wheels gets claimed by one of them and i wont be stuck with a stockie since i commute pretty far to and from work.

nice pickup! go with 245/40/18 then. I saw one member with 245/45/18. Now that should definitely help with maximum cushion and protection, but it is a very fat tire and would throw your speedometer off a bit and wont fit too well if youre lowered.

yea i went with the continental dws's in 245/40-18 to keep everything within spec. but after putting the eibachs and kyb's i wish i went with the 45's since i do alot of commuting to nj/ny (30-40 miles one way) and always have passengers.

I was actually going to follow your route with the 3rd gens originally when you first had them in silver. but then i saw these on ebay for dirt cheap so went this way instead. If I get tired of these wheels the 3rd gens are definitely my next choice.

Just check your tire pressure regularly and you should be good. Other than that, try to avoid potholes. I've tried to memorize the different freeways and which lanes are better to travel in around my area. You got a great deal for these rare wheels so good job on getting these first over 3GS wheels.
