Default KBB/kellybluebook pricing so low...

I'm really pissed off, because when i checked the value of my 98 gs400,it was priced so low. I have checked when i bought my car a year ago it had a good value to it,but when i checked recently it did not... What the hell is going on? How could it drop so low from a year ago. How do they rate the value? is it because of the economy is really bad?

when i bought my 2001 gs430 in nov of 2007 it was still worth about 26k now its like 15k or so.

no1 seems to want the v8's with this stupid gas crisis they keep making up to sell gas...

it seems to be based on what people are wanting/buying and im sure part/alot of its based on the slow economy

Our cars keep going down yet my friend's 95 Buick Roadmaster Station Wagon was worth 800 when he bought it on KBB...now a year and a half later it's magically 2300. WTF!@ THATS A LT1 V8 Damn it.

I bought my 98 gs400 with 93k for 10k and needed some work on it and i have spent nearly 5k-6k in parts and only driven about 7k miles within the year. At the time for kbb pricing, the tradein value was about 10k with even if it was the lowest condition rating. Now wtf...the price just droped bigtime. This sucks...

Slow economy, dealers have a hard time moving cars coupled with reduced demand by consumers for luxury items.

+1 Everything's taking a dump right now, best to hold on (if you are selling) until it gets better. People are typically buying at less than the kbb prices...our luxury segment is hurting more than others on top of that.

the value has gone down steadily, all them more reason to keep it when I get a new car, its not going to be worth much so why bother trading in

last I check (about a week or so ago), my 04 GS, 55K miles rated at excellent condition was worth around 13K...I was like WTF...I guess I'll be keeping my GS for quite some time, or until I pay it off. I mean the depreciation from when I bought the car back in March to now is so dramatic I can not believe it. Good thing I like the car alot!

meh, who cares. I paid over 20k 1.5yrs ago for my 01 430, loaded, with 47k miles. 15k miles, accident, and modded later, i don't expect it to be worth what I paid, or even close.
I will hold on to it a while so I don't even look. why is everyone so concerned.
