Default Un-Plugged ECT Power and VCS and OMG!

So I don't know if this is safe for the engine (Im not good in that department) but I was doing some audio mods over the weekend which I had the center counsel out.

I took it for a ride on the highway without the power - heated seats and VSC buttons un=plugged and it seems like I gained 10-15 horsepower - almost sounded like i had a intake - this seems very odd but I was wondering if anyone else knew this?

I might just keep the VSC and Power button unplugged if its safe for the motor and wont jack anything up.....

I'm thinking this is probably due to the battery being disconnected for a while and therefore resetting the ECU. This is known to give the car a much sportier feel since the ECU "learns" your more sedate normal driving and kinda tones down the acceleration and shifting for more comfort.

I could be wrong but I would guess this has more to do with the change than those buttons being unplugged.

This would not make any difference in horsepower whatsoever. VSC is vehicle skid control. The button when pushed defeats this feature. When unplugged, vsc will always be active (available). Heated seats are either on or off. When on, they would make little difference in horsepower loss, unplugged would be the same as turned off. ECT/Power/Snow button is off unless turned on. Unplugged is the same as being off. Wish it would be that easy to gain that much horsepower. Horsepower gains = $$$

Probably not faster than the new Shelby, but definitely the GT's that try!

PS: That word is not counsel - it's console. Counsel is an attorney.
