The only time you have a problem with weakening the wheel is when the powdercoater uses heat to get the original paint off of the wheel, as it takes much higher heat to do that than it does to cure the powdercoat.

Yeah. I took it to wheel techniques. The guy was in a good mood and gave me a price that was hard for me to refuse.
I tried polishing it myself and jeez, it was a pain in the ***! Polishing out the scratches was way too much work and I doubt i would do it myself.
Jeff @ Wheel Techniques said he will first polish out all the imperfections from the face, paint the inserts and the inner barrel gunmetal grey, and then use powder clear (black pearl) finish. All this for $440.00. Plus another $80.00 for mount and balance, which brings me to $520.00 total.
I hope it turns out well.

Oh yeah. I ordered the center caps from Lexus and it was about $16.50 each....

Just came back from wheel techniques:
-Polish the fine scratches from the face
-Paint the windows gunmetal grey
-Powder coat clear (black pearl)
-Paint the inside of the barrel
-Mount and balance 4 tires.
$520 for all 4 wheels. What do you guys think? Says it takes 5 business days.
