In my past 8 years on CL I've attended easily 40+ medium/large meets and the first meet I ever attended, was held by Steve at Carson Toyota back in "2000".
If I posted pics of that meet, you would see the trend on rear spoilers is about the same then as it is today. Some had lips, some with and some without spoilers. These opinions and differences in tastes are never going to go away, so in the end DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.
One thing I find funny is how sooooo many people comment on how badass the GTR is and yet I hear very little negative feedback on that spoiler
I have the RMM spoiler. Many think it's the stock one unless you look closer, but it's sleeker then the stocker. The rear edge extends out further back and slightly up and the sides extend more forward. Though from this angle you couldn't tell.
