HELP - can't shift from P, no brake light, VSC/ABS lights on dash

Hey,
So I was wiring up my new taillights (had to make a new harness for the signals). I accidentally touched the reverse wires together. I blew some fuses for my dash cluster, turn signals and reverse lights. Found the fuses and fixed that, and everything is cool.
Now I tried putting the car in reverse and I cannot get the shifter to unlock, I don't hear the shift solenoid moving, AND my brake lights don't work. Also, the VSC, ABS, and one other light stays lit.
Is there another fuse that I could have blown while changing the others?
Can you point me in the right direction?
I need help soon, I need to use my car this weekend for a trip.
Thanks,
Chris

He's dead on... I had this issue with another car I owned. If you have to move the car-press the button on the shift lock ecu near the shifter. Just pop off that cover with a flathead, but remember that you wont have any brake lights.

I do have a feeling it is a fuse though because I was able to move the car on Sunday after I had blown the other fuses and thought I heard a pop when replacing the other fuses that I blew. Hope for the best guys.

I know what you mean... I've had some crappy cars before and had to break out the arm signals. You might want to check the brake light sensor. Its located under the dash along the brake pedal. Good luck Chris

hmm i dono about everyone else and there idea, but lets think... you press the brakes and the brake lights dont work, so its not seeing the brake pedal pressed.. thats why you cant go out of gear... sounds like its a brake lamp switch to me.. if you really wanna test it just diconect it and jump the wires.. i work for mercedes benz and its pretty common to see them go bad.. brake lamp switch is usually on the brake pedal assembly under the dash
