I was around DFW area today and this is what i saw when I got home 30mins ago, and this is the first time I shined my car at home in a year.
It's a deep deep 2.5" scratch. Do you know if they can get it fix back to normal look with minimal cost? I'm really really mad right now.

Will that work? This scratch is deep into metal not just paint layers. It even leave a little ding on it too. They're really using pressure to leave the deep scratch on this.

That sucks, your insurance might take care of that. If you can feel the scratch with your nail, it'll probably need to be painted to be fixed.
You'd be surprised how good some of the paint matching machines are. I just had my Frontier door fixed, and it look's great.

is it like 2" long??? you can do a decent job to touch that up yourself... just take some patience and time... you just need to properly prep it and just keep adding layers of paint to build in the scratch... then you will need to compound around it to sorta 'blend' it... desired speeds has provided a great detailing site for you...
