fitted a new set of iridium tips NGK's today, along side brake pads/discs and oil change (took only 5hours for the lot)
while i was taking the plug out from under the throttle body, water (from the gold bolt),came out,and it went over the old plug,i stopped it asap.
after i turned the car back on once everything was put back, got a missfire,it's there on idle, and sometimes on throttle,i guess this can be the only explanation?
car was perfect before, and still is bar the miss fire, taking everything off again tomorrow to find an explanation, anyone help in any way?
i know on the Skyline's,i could unplug each coilpack and find out which one was faulty, last time i did that on an IS,the engine shut it self out,so is there any way that i can figure out which cyclinder is causing the miss fire?
thank you

If things on this car were as easy as on a civic we wouldn't be respected as much for owning one.

most cars aren't. remember the commercial, behind every detail, there's a detail. As frustrating as it may be, just think of the ridiculous amounts of money the lexus engineers get paid to cause us these headaches

i would also be suspect of Iridium plugs in general. i havent used them on my Lexus, but i had Platinums (as stock) in my old S13 turbo, and they were just due a change. i thought id try the new Iridiums instead of Platinums as they were the same price, put them in and as soon as the car got on boost, Misfire. So i put the old dirty Platinums back in and all was well. I then ended up getting just simple Copper plugs and changing them every service (easy on that car).
if i were you it may be worthwhile trying the old plugs back in there :P
