Default Tires Suggestion (19x8.5 and 19x9.5)

Guys I need your input... I have a set of Sherlock Society wheels sitting in my basement for the longest now and since Spring is fast approaching I decided to put them on the GS.

What is the best possible tire set-up I should go with as I would like to have some rubber for cushion that is why i went 19" instead of 20" .

I am running Tein SS coil springs with the rear fenders rolled, wheels are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5.

Thanks much,

Mark

No Way, on my Autocouture which are 8.5 front and 10 in the rear I am running a 225/35 19 and 245/35 19.

If I were you I would run a 235/40 19 in the front and 255/35 19 in the back. I got a local hookup for tires if you're interested let me know.

With that offset, I would run a 245/35/19 and a 275/30/19. If you run anything smaller, it will not be as flush.

i would jus rock 225or 235/35 up front and maybe a 245/35 in back..unless u plan on running spacers to flush em out..then id say 235 all around

im riding on this size also, i would have gone with a 245/35 rear cause my fenders arn't rolled like yours but since yours are i think 275/30 is right. Also i noticed that the 275s are quite noiser than stock so maybe a 245 is better.

I personally run 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 for rims of those size. I generally don't want that major stretched look so I run the normal set up. If you like the stretched look, the 225 front and 245 rear is probably your choice.

What kind of look are you going for? Stretched, fat tire, or flush with the rim edge?

The bigger the second number than the thicker the sidewall. The first number dictates the width of the tire. If you go oversize for the tires you may run the chance of rubbing and you will get uneven wear if you run too big. I have heard of people going with 275 on a 8.5 and 9.5 but they get a weird wear pattern.

I run 275 on 9.5" and 10" rims with no unusual tire wear. In fact, a 275 tire is about perfect for that wide rim. The general approved rim width range for a typical 275 tire is 9-10" according to most of the tire manufacturer specs.

A 245 on a 9.5" rim is just within general manufacturer rim width ranges as typical approved rim widths for that tire size are 8-9.5".

Of course, if you are doing the stretched look all the manufacturers specs go out the window since you are using the tire outside of its intended purpose.
