I need the LSD in my rear end, so I can't trade down to a 3.26. Either way, it would still be useless because right now I break traction in 3rd gear rolling into the throttle from 60mph cruising lol. I don't see 3.26 gears helping much with traction in my case
As for the rev limiter...the shifts worked just fine in his car. I'll tell you this, it kicked way harder with the 3.92 rear end

HKS SLD Problems
Found this old thread while searching and thought I'd bring it back to life.
Does anyone have an HKS SLD type 2 working correctly in there 2jz-gte vvti?
I recently did this swap into my '98 SC300 and got the SLD to get rid of the annoying speed cut which happened right about 100mph for me but now I've got other problems
1. When accelerating the car downshifts from 4th to 3rd in the 90mph range then right away upshifts back to 4th.
2. When passing around 100-110mph the engine will suddenly start bogging and boost drops to about 7psi, this only lasts a second or so then goes away. This also happens off and on at higher speeds. It feels like the factory speed cut but only happens for a second or so.
3. Worst of all, when decelerating (foot off the gas and brake) it suddenly decides to downshift into 3rd again at around 90 or so then immediately upshifts since the rpm's are way too high. It's sorta like problem 1 but in reverse.

Im having problems getting the speedo to work. any of you guys have any ideas for me. i scoured around reading fourms and i can not figure out which wire is it to go into the speed cluster.
