Just bought a 2001 GS430. Absolutly awesome car. This forum seems wuite knowledgeable so thought to as you guys a question. This is my 1st Lexus experience. Is the traction control naturally very sensative on this vehicle and if it turns on from a dead stop does it kill the gas for a few seconds automatically ?

I will get some pics loaded within a few days. Thanks for the quick welcome responses. Got very fortunate to find the vehicle. I previously had a 1997 s500 and found this car with 28k miles. Very pleasantly surprised by the performance of this vehicle. My only gripe with the vehicle is that is came with ugly 16" rims. I need to upgrade quickly. Anyone have the same concerns with the traction control being overly sensative ?

Welcome to the Club. To answer your question, the VSC does seem sensitive sometimes. I see the light come on the dashboard that my wheels are slipping even when I don't feel them slipping. I usually turn it off in dry weather.

Here is the rule of this forum..you MUST post pix first then introduce yourself..BTW Welcome to the club...Leave the traction control alone...if you don't want to end up drifting like Javier...lol...
