LOL... this is my day. I filled up my car 80% full...then I purchased a car wash. Went into the washer and guess what... yeah, I didn't close the lid and didn't put the gas cap on.
You probably didn't get a massive amount in, but put in 3 bottles of Drygas and you should be able to let it run through. I would put them in and take a nice drive.

I'll check to see if my local brick and mortar have something like this. I don't think too much went in *cross fingers* because I believe the water jet sprayed the cover closed.
Plus, I'm sure lexus didn't put the gas pump at the bottom where the water will settle.

The syphon that is built in goes to the bottom...how else would it pump the gas? Check your local parts places, I'm sure they have it. If not, get a new parts place.
Not at the very bottom. That would syphon all kinds of icky stuff. If that's the case, the water will be out by now since water is heavier than liquid gas.
hmmm.... I noticed that the lexus gas spout don't have one of those pressure plate thingy...you know, when you fill your gas, you have to push gas nozzle in to open the plate?

The water will mix with the gas. And yes, the pickup for the syphon is almost to the very bottom of your tank. If your tank has sediment in it, something is wrong - you only get that if you leave gas in a tank for an extremely long period of time, and the newer vehicles with the plastic tanks are much less susceptible to it. Let us know how it works out, though.
You should probably drain your tank before you drive it anymore. Did you fuel guage go up any?
I filled the tank up...I wouldn't know. Plus, I think it would require a lot of water for the fuel gauage to go up. At 80% full, the guage goes to the max already.
I doubt a large amount of water got in, just go to Autozone or something and pick up some moisture remover. I can't think of any brands from the top of my head, but there are plenty...
hahah....too bad you didn't pour wine or beer in it....
i got something you can pour some wine/beer in.........
