Default ?? My GS is lagging

my gs is lagging.. well only happens when im at a complete stop,press the gas (normal speed not trying to race or anything) gears shift 1, 2 ,3 then pauses around 3500-4000 rpm speed around 40-45mph.any ideas of whats going on?mileage on car is about 119,000.just got it back from the shop,thinking that when they disconnected the battery the ecu bugged out?..idk what do you guys think?

happend to me when i brought the car, could be a bad alturn. or battery, or MassFlowAairSensor.

When was the last time you have checked your transmission fluid? Only use Toyota Type IV.

well i recently bought that car back in nov from a dealership.thinking that they did do all the inspection before they sell the car.

2002 gs 300 maintenance idk,i checked the log nothing on the books,but i did get it @ lexus dealership so thinking it came with a inspection.i 'm due on a oil change about 700 miles ago.

Unless its a CPO they didn't have to check anything. As-is no warranty means just that. Sounds like a possible MAF issue as StanCe suggested. You could try cleaning it. Read the DIYs and proceed carefully.

sorry i got kinda lazy to type it out alternator i ment, your charging system. or trans fluid or the other things i said in the previous post.
