i just got my 1998 gs300 , not too long ago and was wondering about some of the recalls. can i still to this day go in and have them check to see if those have been done or not. and if it hasn't can they still do it free of charge?

I believe you can check with your local Lexus dealership and they'll just run your vin, if there was a recall and it hasn't been fixed I think they'll still do it for free. They had a recall on the catalytic converters for Toyota Land Cruisers way before I even bought my truck, I got it checked and they replaced the part for free.

whoa... I just remembered! Didnt Toyota have a HUGE recall in regards to engine sludge or something a couple years back? Was that model specific? I dont remember...

Well, I found one for the 1998 GS300, its for the Suspension: Automatic Stability Control (ASC) 14,855 units affected.

It was the ES300 (I believe second gen??? I had a 2001 with this problem... They sent me something in the mail notifying me about it)

Where can we check out Lexus recalls? I googled got nothing, 05 GS300
