Default P1349 OBD code

My car threw this code, I'm thinking that the timing belt needs to be replaced, any thoughts?

Default Similar problem

I had a similar problem with the same code plus misfire codes for all 8 cylinders. The accelerator position sensor and the TB were replaced. The sensor by itself did not solve the problem. The final piece was the tb replacement.

Also could be the selenoid for the vvti there are two.

I inspected the old tb and it was gunked up, but a cleaning made little improvement.

hope it helps, I am not an expert....

So I pulled out the oil filter that goes to the VVT and cleaned it with brake cleaner and it didn't do anything to fix the problem. The check engine light is still on , blinking now, The VSC and VSC off lights are on also with a rough idle. I had the dealership check the code and they said it was the oil filter to the VVT, Any more ideas?

For a code of P1349 = VVT System Malfunction (Bank
1) possible causes are the following:
1.Valve timing
2.OCV
3. VVT controller assembly
4.ECM

I have that exact list in my hand from Autozone OBDII readout, I'm just wondering what the best choice is considering what I have done and my symptoms.

You may need to remove the OCV and clean the piston this must move freely follow the link bellow it will show you how to test the oil control valve

Check your codes after removing neg batter terminal via DIAGNOSTIC block in engine bay terminal TC & E1 with a paper clip

Dash lights will all flash count the orange engine light only

http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/...nts/index.html

Repair Manual / DIAGNOSTICS / ENGINE this will take you to engine fault code list

Code via OBD2 Scanner is P1349 via engine check light is 59

Follow the flow charts to fix

Reset the light by removing the neg cable from your battery for a few minutes. Then reconnect and take for a test drive to see if it reapears.
