Default xpel with Zaino

Hi, I am looking to put xpel on my car, and I am wondering for those that do have xpel on their cars, and also use zaino, do you zaino your car first before the installation of xpel? Being that zaino keeps the surface so slippery, I am wondering if that affects the life of xpel at all? what are your opinions?

They remove any wax under the areas where they apply the film. Once the film is applied you just wax over the film as you do the rest of the car.

Default TMitchell is correct...

I'm a detailer and that's the way you'd want it done. Zaino is great for clear plastic stuff, be it a film such as this, or clear urethane enamel, so I would put it on the Xpel.

The Xpel protects the paint, the Zaino protects the Xpel. Cheers. Dan H

the part I am confused about is, should I Z the car BEFORE putting xpel on?

I know I can wash/zaino the car AFTER xpel like normal, but before the xpel is installed, would z'ing the car make xpel installation harder, or shorten the life of xpel, given Zaino makes the surface so much more slippery..etc,

thanks for your replies,

Like TMitchell said, for the xpel to be installed correctly, all wax needs to be removed from the area the xpel is going on to allow for proper bonding of the adhesive... then you can Zaino the xpel to your hearts desire!
