This is on my '04 GS430

1.Press the "MENU" button
2. Press the "DVD" icon at very top of the screen
3. Press the top left corner
4. Press the bottom left corner
5. Press the top left corner
6. Press the bottom left corner
8. Press the bottom right corner once
9. You should now see the "secret" menu
10. Press and Hold the "OVERRIDE" until the icon turns green.
11. Press the "BACK"

You have do to it again the next time you turn on your car.

my 2001 doesnt have a DVD icon...

i think on mine you can follow steps 3-9 on any screen but since my nav has been fubared for a minute (nav ecu went out) i dont remember exactly (i dont remember having to hold the override....just touch it!)

I got a '01 GS w/ navi and i was told to hit the INFO button, then System Options, then repeat steps 3-11. Hope this helps.

Default I just did this in my 2001 GS430....

1. Hit Menu button
2. Hit System info soft button
3. Top Left (A)
4. Bottom Left (B)
5. A
6. B
7. A
8. B
9. Bottom right (C)
There are NO buttons where you are touching the screen....just touch ABABABC and you should get a diagnostic screen. Don't touch any of the options except for Override (you can lock up your Nav if you guess wrong).

I couldn't perform this with 100% reliability....works for me about 33% of the time (so I just do it again until it works).

Good luck!

You definitely have to hold it down. Do you have to do this every time you start the car?
