Default need some advice..

Ok so.. i just purchased a 99 GS400..

"-Engine
RMM Supercharger, intercooled
3.33 Pulley
310cc RC Engineering injectors
SAFC II
RMM Axle back exhaust
PI torque converter

-Suspension, Brakes
Bilstein Shocks
Eibach Springs
Daizen front and rear sway bars
RMM brake kit, with slotted rotors
Braided brake lines front and rear

-Exterior
Kenstyle Locksmice Mesh, possibly only polished Locksmice wheels in existance.
Had the wheels stripped and polished at Mag Masters in Santa Ana
19x9 +30 235/35-19 Falken front High disk BBK clearance (no curb rash)
19x9.5 +24 245/35-19 Falken rear (no curb rash)
L-Sportline Body Kit
Spare set of 4 ASA 17" wheels with tires (90% tread) must use included H&R spacer"

and umm.. stupid me but i didnt even check the history before buying it since the seller said it has a clean title.. i mean hes a CL member as well so i thought i could trust a fellow CL member.

seller said it has a clean title. asked him if it has leaks, seller said no, n yea.

turns out according to Autocheck, the car has frame damage and i dont know where it has frame damage. It also failed emission once.. possibly due to supercharger but i dont know.

Also the supercharger seems to be leaking oil and maybe the engine as well?

ok so i just spent a massive chunk of my LIFES savings on this car.. n im stressing out over this stuff.. What do i do? is there some sort of grace period for private party buy? sigh... i feel like my bank account just went under and the FDIC wont insure.. if the car turns out to be a death ride.. then i just wasted 19 years of my life saving...

sigh..

I suggest you get in touch with the seller before posting. Give him or her an opportunity to rescind the sale. You do have rights under consumer protection laws, which do vary from state to state. Just an FYI - clear title does not mean that frame damage did not occur. If the frame damage was sufficiently repaired, the title did not have to be listed as salvaged.

It kinda sucks what happened, but the motto of "In God we trust - everyone else must pass polygraph" works here.

Question

Update - how long ago did autocheck say it was damaged or did not pass smog?

The reason I ask is this:

He said he bought it less than a year ago in November.

You need to check your individual state laws. I don't know them off the top of my head, but it's still not something that will guarantee a bad title.

Get it to a mechanic, have them check out the leaks, and see if maybe it's a simple gasket or seal. Keep in mind, it's a heavily modified 10 year old car - it's not a showroom pony. Don't let it warp your mind, either, bro. It's irritating, but it's also something that can be fixed. I doubt he was looking to screw you, but now that it's public info you owe him the opportunity to discuss it - in private.

Did you not inspect the vehicle prior to purchase and have the title checked? You should always, always, always check titles and have the car inspected by a professional if you're not able to (or skilled enough).

I had the RMM S/C. What makes you think its leaking from there?

Did you check the clamps on the oil return to the oil pan?
