Default Help with offset/spacer question

Hey everybody. Long time viewer here but have not posted much. Cannot say enough about everyone's knowledge here. Here is my question...I've got a '98 GS3 and I am running the 18x8 G-Spyders with what I believe is an offset of 45(see pic). I am wanting to flush up the back wheels and wanted some advice as to what size spacer to run to accomplish this. Thanks for any help. Here is the pic of the wheel specs.

with an 18x8 +45 you're going to want to run at least a 25 or 30mm spacer, bringing your effective offset to +20 or +15. I would try the 25 first to avoid going TOO far out.

Look at istundra's thread. He is running Ichiba v2 spacers 15mm for the front and 20mm for the rear. I have the same spec spacers and same wheels as him too. We both have 3GS 18x8 et+45 wheels which are the same specs as G-Spyders. I've had the spacers on few 3 days now and they are awesome. It looks much more flush. Although not 100% completely flush but looks a LOT better IMO. Also, we both are lowered and there is no rubbing whatsoever on turns, dips, etc.

Thanks for the input guys. I took a look at the link above and based on the setup istundra is running I may go with a 25mm in the rear at first. I am planning on dropping the car but staying conservative with probably tanabe NF's. I wasn't really thinking about running any kind of spacer of front. Or should I? Last summer with the wheels on the car, I thought the fronts looked fine however I'm concerned with pushing the rears out I'll wind up looking silly up front.

NCS, i'd like to see if it works. I originally wanted 25MM in the rear.

Also, what is your tire size? 245/40/18?

I've currently got 245/40/18 on all four, two of which are cruddy run flats that I am planning on replacing. I was entertaining the idea of going a little wider on the rears especially after using the spacer. I haven't looked into much yet however I would like to know if I could throw some at least some 255's on the 8" rim. Just a thought. I've been looking at the H&R spacers. What's your opinion on the ichibas? How's the quality?

I would say stick with 245/40/18. It would look better. 255/40/18 may look a little too "fat" on a 8" wide wheel. I mean.....although a 245mm wide tire doesn't look that great on a 8" wide wheel, it offers a bit better protection from curbage and adds a little more sidewall versus say a 225mm wide tire. Plus that's the stock factory recommendation so I'm sure Lexus knows what they're doing (and recommending). I think you should be OK with the 25mm rear spacer even with a 255 if you decide to go that route.

I also have 255/40/18 on a 18x9 +45MM OEM wheel w/ 20MM spacer in the rear. It slightly hazes the rear fender.

Stick with 245/40/18 and you should be ok with 20MM in the rear.

If you are going with 25MM, i am unsure if you would have rubbing issues, but i am much looking fwd to the result.

I currently do not have any fender mods... so 20MM is working out for me... but i'd love to see how much i can go without any fender mods
