there were two particular times where my car wouldn't start and i had to take the negative terminal out and then it started up
what could it be? my starter? or a terminal problem? i know it's not my battery

sorry for the late response.. no crank or lights at all
i'm pretty sure the terminals were just loose.. i wiped them off and tightened up again.. hopefully i won't have any more problems
i apologize for the n00b question! 0=)

bought some corrosion cleaner and cleaned the terminals off again.. let's see if this does the trick (although i'm pessimistic)..
what if it's the alternator? how would i know?

the ground was definitely loose.. over-torqued more than likely
bought the metal brush and cleaned terminals.. corrosion spray and gel.. re-tightened and did the wiggle test.. the car has been fine the past two days.. so i'm knocking on wood
