Default Tips on buying '04 gs430

I'm looking at buying an '04 GS430.

Anything in particular I should look for?

Is the balljoint issue still prevalent on an '04?, etc.

Thanks!

Ken

I believe the balljoint issue was addressed in a previous model year. Just do the usual, try to get the maintenance records for the vehicle, run a Carfax, NADA also has a history report, have a trusted mechanic look at it or take it to Lexus. These cars are built pretty solid so there shouldn't be too much to worry about.

DarKnight... do you know what year that was addressed? I would like to know for my own personal knowledge.
Thanks!

I think (emphasize think) the balljoints were redesigned in 2002/03. Call a Lexus dealer and ask or search the forum archives it should pop up. Either way expect to check / swap out ball joints every 80k miles or so.
