Default 2 part question on tires and

Hi everyone. I was looking for a thread that I saw awhile back. On tire size for 19' wheels. I just ordered my wheels I wanted this for awhile but the money was going on house improvments. . know that they are done. and the extra cash was there. it's time to add my little mods to my 2nd toy. Well I bought 19.8.5 rims 4 the front and 19.9.5 for the rear. I need a good tire set up for it. since before when I bought wheels I just use to drop my cars off at the shop and told them to put this rims on. Now I'm beeing a little more intrested in knowing what i'm doing. .... Oh the offset will be 32mm in front and 35mm in the back. I been wanting to take of the gs400 from the back has anyone done this at home and how did you do it with out pealing of the paint.

fishing line and goo gone. than a polish to get it looking good. The tires as far as anything give you choices in what you can do since the offsets on your wheels are conservative. You can run 225/35/19 in the front as well as 235/35/19 or even go up to a 225/40/19 while this may yeild you a thicker sidewall it will also throw your speedometer off by about 3 or 4 mph meaning if you are doing 60 you will be going 56 according to your speedometer. In the back you have the same choices the size that I would recommend to run is 245/35/19 but you can run 245/40/19 for a thicker sidewall and same thing about the speedometer applies.

If you want just your standard tires, go with 245/35/19 up front and 275/30/19 in the rear. If you want more side wall for a little bit of pot hole protection you can run the "Fat" set up of 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. If you like the stretched tire look then run 225/35/19 front, and 245/35/19 rear. You have to first make a choice if you want the stretched tire look, or the full look, then choose the tires.

Thank you for the choices. the 235/35/19 where my choice. yeah I know I have to watch out for pot holes specially where I live. so will all this choices throw my speedometer off? sorry if I'm asking to many questions. but I just want to make sure. and I also know my ride will change to a rougher one. I do want to be consevitive. but looking good. this is my every day driver and my family car. lol!

I am running 245/35R19's and 275/30R19's. On stock suspension there was no change in ride comfort except going over speed bumps. Once I lowered my car the ride did harshen some but no where near unbearable. Its definitely still a nice ride and definitely worth it.

Most of these tires are built tougher because of their desired speed rating. They can take more abuse then a lesser built standard tires. I have hit some serious pot holes (on accident of course) and so far so good.

I daily, and nightly, drive mine too.

Utilizing 19"s with a 35 series sidewall will keep the overall dimensions of the wheels within spec. You can reference several tools in order to determine if the tires would offset the speed and how much,
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp
or
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
