Default I'm new so I wanted to say hi

Hey guys. I just bought a 99 lexus gs300 and came across this site when I was researching the car. The car is a U.S car.

Car info:

Kilometers : 59000
Body : Sedan
Transmission : Automatic
Fuel : Gas
Doors : 4
Passenger : 5
Interior Color : Tan
Exterior Color : White
Type : Sedan
Options : Alarm, AM/FM Stereo, Air Conditioning, Alloy Wheels, Anti-Lock Brakes, CD Player, Cassette, Driver Air Bag, Dual Air Bag, Intermittent Wipers, Keyless Entry, Power Brakes, Power Mirrors, Power Seat, Power Steering, Power Windows, Rear Defroster, Tilt Steering, Tinted Glass, Bucket Seats, Heated Seats, Leather Interior, Power Locks, Sunroof, Cruise Control, All Equipped, Power Trunk, Tilt Wheel, CD Changer, Memory Seats, Passenger Air Bag, Telescoping Steering Wheel, Premium Audio

Does anyone have an advice? I am going to lower it 1.5", get rims, tint and I am looking in to doing a turbo set up. Does anyone know the compression?

welcome to the family!

my GS300 had the same mileage and looked exactly like yours around this time last year.

make sure you check out the "ultimate spring/shock" thread for wheel sizes w/ spring & shock setups. good luck!

congrats on you GS. I would recommend a nice set of coilovers to lower the car to whatever height you want. There are several for sale in the classifieds right now.

Welcome to the club. You have some good plans for it. I do suggest you drop it BEFORE you put wheels on it. Have fun with the Turbo build. From the little I have read it sounds pretty involved and pricey.

Holly LA . . . welcome! I too am fairly new and learned much from this club. I'd love to advise you on the suspension . . . ALLOW ME! Coilovers/front and rear strut bars are great. Why? If you are into working on cars, it gives you power to adjust height and damper to your heart's content (1.5" front/1.25 back). Shocks/springs/front & rear strut bars are cool if you're satisfied keeping the car at a certain height. Want a deal? Check the GS classifieds! Price break between the two setups? Roughly $150 - $250 in favor of the shocks/springs. Rims? Go no bigger than 17"s to balance of luxury and performance aesthetics of the car (i. e. transmission, ride quality, etc.). Turbo? $$$$$$$ LOL!
