Ok, so ive seen a couple ppl on here who have removed the insulation on the hood, and mine was falling apart, so i took it off...now every time some random joe takes a look under the hood the first thing they say is something like..."why did you remove that?!? now the paint on your hood is gonna start bubbling!!" ok so is there any way that is gonna happen? the reason idk is b/c my car has been parked in the garage half apart, since i took it off, and i'd like to know if i need to try and put it back.

99 na-t (as of recently) no insulation now i roasted half mine (a lot of it was becomeing loose) with the underhood temp from being a dump *** with real bad everything for a week. now the bottom of my hood is high temp rubber coated looks 10x times better i tossed a probe in the bay my under hood temps are down 30 degrees and i thought it would make them go up! no paint bumbles yet and the other day on the dyno we ran her real hot (on purpose) and she shows no sign of problems (as far as paint is concerned) hand on top of hood was not pain full at all.
i think the primary reason for the under hood insulation is sound deadening. once i pulled the rest of it off my under hood noise really went up! lol some people like it, some people would love it! i want to make it quiet again (not now in the future) lol
