Default Front fender roll...

Just installed my 20" wheels (20 x 8.5 +40 front, 20 x 9.5 +40 rear), and when going over large dips I hear the front rub--rear's OK so far I think. (Lowered on Eibachs) So I guess I'm going to try my hand at rolling or pulling the fenders...
  • Should I roll or pull or both?
  • Do I remove the black 1/2" wide trimpiece that screws onto the fender lip? What about the fender liner--it might be rubbing there, too...

It might just be the fender liner, those offset are not aggressive enough to hit the fender...

Yep, it's your liner, rolling will do nothing to solve the issue. You can do two things, go down on tire size or try rubber coil spring boosters.

What's a coil spring booster?

It's kind of a bump stop inbetween coils, it will keep your spring from fully compressing. In your case, since Eibachs springs are close to OEM specs, it will prevent the excess spring travel that is causing rubbing.

i think the easiest think would be to get some 1/4" wheel spacers.

How durable are these? Do you have recommendation? What if we install only on one side...what will it affect?

I'm thinking about trying it to even out the drop.

handoverfi - preload makes a pretty big difference, at least on my coilovers. i added 1/4" of preload all round on my car, and it really didnt make any visible difference to my ride height since its only like 6mm or so, but that was enough to make it much stiffer, so much so that it didnt scrub when going up my driveway. i then took out about 4mm or so cause it was a bit too harsh for me, and it now scrubs up my driveway. So just a few mm makes quite a difference, and isnt so much that you need to lower the bottom mount to counteract it.

as for the OP remove the fender liner trims, see how you go, then get rolled if you need to. the fronts roll okay, the paint just flakes off undernneath though so youll need to touch it up.
