I noe I should of searched around but im on my sidekick and it loads really slow. But any ways my lexus is laggin at 4000 rpm once I try to rev it all the way it trips out n doesn't seem to go any were.. What can it be? How much would it be to fix it?

yeah i dont think so either....tad early for rev limiter to be kicking in...

maybe some fouled plugs...clogged injectors? can you (OP) better explain by what you mean it "Trips out"...help me,us to help you

What I mean by "trips out" is that the engine sound like its about to take off but it seems like it barly moves and the rpm moves up and down and also after it sound like a poppin noise some what like a back fire

so you floor it and engine sorta seems sluggish and seems like its about to take off....does it ever take off? it seems like you describing the sluggish DRIVE BY WIRE system our cars have but a misfire, clogged fuel injector or something else going on with it seems more likely....ne CEL lights?

Yea it never takes off, I have to let go of the gas pedal n barley tap it 4 it can go, also wen I drive normal with out smashing i barley tap on the gas pedal it seem like the car is gonna turn off but after like 2 sec. It goes. But there is no CEL lights on.

CEL would go on if injectors, plugs, timing are bad. But I think it's clogged cat. The third cat. Because that one has no sensor to monitor it. How many miles do you have on your car? It even could be your transmission. But if you said it backfires, I think your cat is clogged.

if the cat is clogged it has no CEL? really .... i didnt know that...cause i even test drove a blue one before i got my black one and it had CEL's and my mechanic said they were for cats... not the o2's


and i OP hadnt said if he had CEL's when i asked him bout injectors/plugs/timing

After bout 2 months since I posted this thread I finally found out wat was the problem.. All I had to do was clean my MAF sensor. I now feel the power of my gs n I love it. Lolz
