no problem with mine ::knocks on wood:: but one problem alot of people have is the vibrations around 50-55 60-65 mph, and a rattling moon roof... serious issues are ball joints. if the vehicle was maintained properly these cars will last you quite a while. if youre looking for power + comfort i would go with a 400/430 but for everyday normal driving the 300 is a great vehicle.

The RX transmission issue is a known issues that's been known about for years. The GS however is very reliable as far as engine and transmission. I think a lot of them will go to 300k miles with no major issues if the preventive maintenance is kept up. The Lexus GS is a great choice for a vehicle.

i have 156000 on mines, no lie it runs great feels great, transmission has been always keep up with its regular maintanance, rattling on the moonroof is very minor, the vibration on the wheels depends on the rims you buy, trust me i have done it all.
great car.
but if you have the money go with the gs4 will not dissapoint
