Is swapping 2jzgte vvti into 1998 GS300 that simple???
Ive been doing a lot of research in regards to swapping this engine into my 98 gs300. It seems like its so simple. I must be wrong can someone please chime in on this for me?
It seems like as long as I have the engine, ECU, complete JDM wire harness, and if necessary change the rear drive shaft connector, then its a direct swap. This is of course automatic to automatic swap. I found some info that you have to run two wires, one is tach and the other..I cant find the answer. Some people said they didnt even have to swap the rear drive shaft connect, that it just slips right in. Is this all there is to it...engine, tranny, ECU, and complete JDM wire harness?
I want to start this project, but I really want to know what Im getting into. I've done engine swaps for Honda's before, but not Toyota's. Honda's are like legos, its simple and straight forward IMO.
