Default The right GS400 seem to be rare in my area...

Well the one that fits my criteria and price. I live in Boston and it seem very hard to find a Black on Black with sport package (17 wheels and spoiler) I'd prefer one with no Nav since it's obsolete now. I want one a 1999-2000 with no more than 80K miles for $9000 max.

Always respected the GS400 back in the day. I'm on a budget since I'm trying to buy a house so I'm trying to get something that will satisfy my car hobby itch. Plenty of power and luxury in the meantime for me to settle for a while.
The Gs400 seems more "Raw" compared to the Gs430 but I'd take a 2001 GS430 with gen 2 Nav anyday if I could find one for under $11K

If anyone has one for sale let me know.

Just be patient. I searched for about 2 months before I found one that met every one of my criteria. Just wondering..... have you broadened your search by looking a bit further outside of the Boston area? You might be able to find a good deal and just drive it back home. Good Luck with your search.

Blk on Blk with less than 80k miles for less than $9000? wow, if you ever do find that you better call them asap, go meet them asap, and have cash in hand because that will sell ASAP, lol

Good luck tho and like he said be very patient. Make sure you constantly check autotrader.com, cars.com, craigslist, yahoo cars, newspaper classifieds, and any other classifieds you can find.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I'm checked all those sites within a 100-150 miles radius. The catch is that I'll only get one if ALL criteria is met. The Mrs. wants me to focus all funds on getting a house. So if I find this rare GS400 before I find a house I'll get it. $9k is not going to hurt my account. I've found alot of them with 100K miles which isn't really alot for these cars but I refuse to buy any car with that many miles on it no matter the condition. There are plenty of GS300 out there but it just doesn't have enough power for me.

From somebody who just bought one....

A car like you are discribing will cost 11k +. These cars sell for significantly more than the kbb or edmunds.com values. You can get a good deal, but expect it to have 100k miles or more on it. People know what they can get for a low mileage 400.

I bought my car 1998 GS400 fully loaded for 9500 2 years ago. It had 147K but I have never had one problem. It runs like it did when I first bought it and im sure it runs like it did when it was new.

I've been searching for 2GS4 black or white for a bit under 10K with decent miles as well...I'm started to go out of the state and see I could get it flatbed across a few states. You try Balise Lexus?

what?????? the KBB on my 2001 gs430 WITH nav AND ML package, 100,000k, heated seats, etc is only 13000 or so...bad economy, gas prices and etc have brought the V8 prices down alot so not nemore...the gs prices are starting to go down quickly lately...i wouldnt pay 11k for that old of a model...i have seen people RECENTLY on here pick up 2004-2005 gs430's with 60k mileage for like 14000-15000

i wouldnt wanna pay HALF of that for a 1998-2000 model. just search around guys...u can find one for a steal if you got the patience. 2 years ago when the gs430 kbb prices were still mid to high 20's i got mine for under 20k from ebay, granted i had to go to new york to get it but i was happy to do so!

here's one im sure you can get for 7k-8k (it looks in good condition except back bumper)

LOL I think some of yall are taking the OP too seriously. I think he knows it's a long shot to find a deal like that. But if he did he would pick it up but he's not too concerned about it because he is really supposed to use that money for his new house but IF a deal like that were to come by he would hop on it. And it's not impossible, people get rid of cars for cheap all the time just because they want a quick sale and they can afford to do that...
