Default Oil in the spark plugs

Hello All...I recently replaced my sparkd plugs and plug wires in my 2000 gs300 Four of the six plugs came out drenched with oil and the other two were dry. Anyone know whats goin on? Gaskets or what? Thanks

Head gasket? Sounds like valve cover gaskets to me...

valve cover gasket should be replaced once you take it off. After you have the valve cover off, look underneath it, you should see the spark plug "gasket/O-rings". It is a cheap fix, don't worry you should be fine...

what is the mileage on your car?

smoothie18, stating the issue as specific as possible will yield better answers...

If the plugs were wet with oil on the inside of the cylinder, when pulled, then your piston rings or head gasket are compromised.

If the plugs were wet on the outside of the cylinder, then it is your valve covers leaking...(most likely scenario).

The 2jz motor in his GS300 has no spark plug "gasket/O-rings"

...and welcome, is it still cold in Minnesota?

i've heard the 2nd gen. GS is notorious for bad head gaskets. As explained in a post in someone else's thread, i had the same issue as you, oil in the spark plugs. My check engine light and VSC light turned on, i connected an OBD II tester and it gave me "multiple cylinder misfire" or something, changed out the sparks and everything was all good.
