Default Play in steering wheel after caster arm and daizen steering rack bushing install

So I installed new caster arms or lower control arm #2 and also installed daizen steering rack bushing now there is play in the steering wheel. The steering wheel is also not lined up straight either. Its slightly to the left for the car to be able to go straight forward. If I center the wheel it would move the car to the right. The steering does not feel like it was when it was with oem bushings. Loose and I have a lot less control over the car now. Maybe I should switch them back.... Any ideas of what happened? Could I have damaged the steering rack some how when I installed the bushings?Would it just need a alignment to correct everything? Thanks in advance guys

You need an alignment. As soon as you touch your caster (especially if the old ones are worn out), your caster angle will change. What changes with it is toe and that's why you're pulling.

You cant change the caster settings on a GS. Only Toe and Camber.
Also, he said, he changed out the lower control arms. Probably have touched the low ball joints/tie rods.

Def. an alignment is needed. Also make sure that the bolts that hold the steering rack in place are tight enough.

You can't change caster manually, but if the bushings were worn, and you got an alignment, the toe will be set for that certain caster angle. Once you put in new bushings, your caster should be corrected, however your toe will be off again

And touching the tie rods will definitely change things. Though I never had to touch any of those when I put in my caster arm yesterday

alright just got back from doing the alignment and it corrected everything. Now the steering feels very firm. The daizen steering rack bushing made a big difference. Thanks guys for all the help
