Default Something new for you 1st Gen GS300 guys...

Looks like Wald is going to release a Executive body kit for the JZS-140's...here's the link...

http://www.wald-japan.co.jp/wald/cat...aristo_cg.html

That's a prelim pict and it looks computer generated (the filename also has "cg" as part of the name)....so we'll have to wait and see the real photos....JPY166,000...about USD$1300...

At first, I though the sideskirts were arched, but if you look closer, it just a little too much shadowing...I've seen their other Executive kits and the sideskirt shouldn't look so "arched"

No matter what, it's good to see some companies are still developing new things for the JZS-140's...

Excellent manaray.

I think that the skirts almost go straight accross the bottom??, I could be wrong, but I think I see a bit of a highlite that suggests alot less arch that one would see at first glance. Those rims look like OZ's, I was considering them but was unsure, this gives me another perspective to consider...

Thanks again!

Default Thanks Manaray

Thanks for posting that. It is a nice-looking kit. I will have to sonsider something like that down the line. My 19" HREs are being milled this week. I hope to have them on the car next month.

ocnbrzz - you're right about the sideskirts, it does go straight across the bottom as do all the Wald Executive kits...they just added a bit too much shadowing...

link13 - Which HRE's are you getting? I can't wait to see it! Are you lowering it?

Default Manaray

Hi. I'm getting HRE 448s in 19". The fronts will be 19x9 and the rears will be 19x10. I'm going with a brushed / clearcoated center with a polished lip. My brother spec'd the wheels, so they will be nice and aggressive.

The car is lowered now with Eibachs. If there's too much gap in the rear fender wells, I may change the springs, but I think the Eibachs will be ok. I hope so, at least. The car is lowered 1.25" and rides great now.

Link13...What size rubber do you plan to use?

I have 245/35s in front and 275/35s in the rear. I also did the Eibach springs. The rear wheels just barely tuck and the front has about a half an inch of gap.

The car sits perfectly. It is completely balanced now. The problem you'll have is with camber in the front. You WILL wear the inside of your tires, and Z-rated 19s are not cheap! (Thank god for sponsors!) I get mine aligned about every other month.

Depending on your offset, you may also have a slight rub in front, I have zero, but your rims will be a half an inch wider...

Good luck! I can't wait to see the pics!

Default Hi Rico

My brother is an HRE engineer. He measured the GS and came up with specs. Here's what he just sent me via email:

Front 19x9, +35 offset, 245/35zr19
Rear 19x10, +37 offset, 275/30zr19

I am not looking forward to replacing tires, but I'll probably roll with my stock wheels / tires on longer drives. However, any and all trips to Vegas will be on the 19s. You've gotta roll hard up there

Are those Carlson 1/6 20's?

enginyr - Nope, those are Wald's own wheels...

Link, man, that sounds like a CRAZY setup...your brother gave me similar offsets the first time I but I didn't want "angled" sidewalls which is why I got 8.5" and 9.5"...have they milled your centers yet? Why not get the new 441R's? I LOVE that design! I was telling John that they should of made that a 540R wheel so I could get them in 20"!

Rico, I can guarantee that they won't rub! HRE doesn't mess around!

Default 441Rs

Hi Manaray-

I looked at the new brochure last night and the 441R is a nice looking wheel. However, I have a real weakness for the 448. I have seen one test-fitted on the back of my car and it looks really good. I am so excited to see my car with those wheels on it. Hope my tax return arrives soon.
