I have been getting this sound that sounds pretty much like a bird chirping and it only happens on warmer days, not when the car gets warm just warmer days. I am really not sure what this is it does not happen all time and cannot get it to reoccur when I have someone looking at it

any ideas?

 

okay can you be a bit more specific??? where is the noise coming from??? engine bay, exhaust, under the car, inside the car...

if it is in the engine bay, is it towards the front where your belts are... is the car stationary or in motion, over a bump???

 

Sorry, Yes its a GS300, its coming from engine bay, I cannot really pinpoint what side I go to one side it sounds like its coming from the other so I am not sure. It happens if the car is in motion or stopped, long as engine is running.

 

a belt squealing???????????

 

+1 on the belt... which is similar to the issue i had except it happened when it was cold, not hot... check the belts first... cheapest fix...

 

I am not really car type any suggestions what belt I do t wana go to a mechanic and say one of my belts is bad and lose a arm and leg

Funny, I just got back from a drive and am having the same problem, I used to get it only during the winter when it was cold, or after a rain. It's dry and 50+ out now and squeaking again.

it's def. the belt sqeaking, but could it also be caused by a pulley?

BTW I have a 400.

 

mine chirps when it is on WOT.

 

serp belt. cheap, easy to replace. just make sure you do it following the diagram sticker in your engine bay. If you can twist your belt so that it's vertical, it needs to be replaced.
