Default down to the final two

well i been shopping around for a Gs for the past few weeks i narrow my search down to two. both same thing (2nd Gen GS 430 black on black navi etc). the thing is one is a 2005 GS 430 with 65k on the clock and going for about $16,995 and the second is a 2004 GS 430 with 95k on the clock going for $14,995. so my question is with that type of mileage will it be just as good as the one with the 65k on the dash. i know it depends on how the person took care of the car etc. but im basing my decision off of pictures on autotrader.com because both cars are out of state. i guess when i get home tonite i will run a car fax on both cars to see if they both come back clean. another thing the one for $14,995 is at a mom and pop shop and the one for $16995 is at a Hyundia dealership. should that influence on who i should go with or it doesn't really matter.

thanks

IMO....I would get the 05 with 65K.....if they are close to the same regarding cleanliness.

Get the 05. Asides from the obvious (year and mileage), avoid mom and pop shops. Most of them are not that great and have no inspection standards at all.

05 for sure. A year newer and 30K less miles. For only 2K more. Unless there is something that doesn't pass a smell test. Yep, the CARFAX is well worth the peace of mind too.

For sure the 05 is the best deal. I can't believe used Lexus are that low today. I have an 04 gs430 with 56K and still own $18.5K on it
