Third brake light on the wing or thrid brake light in the rear window (rear shelf) on wingless cars - you won't get both unless someone mounted one in another place. You'd have to DIY any high mount brake light.

Only if the spoiler was added after the car was built or a factory spoiler trunk added to a non spoiler car. Either way the car was not intended to be that way.

if you want to go spoiler-less, then yes, you'll need to get the rear deck brake light. btw, its not necessarily a 'high-mount'; it's just the traditional 3rd brake light for those w/out the spoiler

it mounts on the rear deck where the speakers are located.

i heard in cali that if your car comes with a third brake light its illegal not to have one

In my experience the third brake light on all cars are commonly called the "High Mount" due to the fact that they are mounted higher then the standard tail/brake light assemblies.

You will need to install some form of third brake light. The OE one is the most common. Others have put it in the trunk lid, on a roof wing, and one guy put it on his sun roof for when has it vented. You can also get custom ones that go on the rear deck as well. Lots of options.

Yes, not just California though. It is a federal law. All cars 1986+ needs to have this high, or 3rd brake light.

how much did it cost to weld the hole and repaint it? and should i buy those lights as my third brake light or buy the oem high mount which is like 130?
